Heart

My name is Eliana Joy Jirucha, born in Washington State, my home is wherever I am or wherever my family is.  I am currently in a transition period, stay tuned for what this next season holds.  I have a heart that beats for justice and I desire to be a catalyst to help end Human Trafficking in my generation. Writing has always been a passion of my mine, and this blog is to share a little piece of that with you. I will share my thoughts, my stories, my adventures, and what God is doing throughout Norway and the world.  Ever since I was young I have felt a strong urge to go out into missions.  I had the opportunity to travel with YWAM to Kenya when I was sixteen.  There I felt that God cemented missions into my heart for the long term.  Throughout my own DTS God continued to break my heart for the women and children who have been ripped from their homes and sold into sex slavery.  I knew that even though my school was over, my time in Norway was not.  God spoke clearly to me that I was to be an advocate for those caught in human trafficking. I knew that once I had seen the harsh reality, this was not a matter I could simply turn away from.  It is a cause I believe is on Gods heart, and something we must conquer with bravery, wisdom, and most importantly the Love of Jesus.  In one way or another I have dedicated my life to see modern day slavery end in my generation, why? Because it matters, because each person is valuable and precious, because when my children ask me where I was when 28 million men, women, and children were enslaved around the world, I want to say that I showed up, that I gave it my all, and that we fought until the battle was won.

Join me as I embark on a lifelong journey to know God and make Him known.
