I had my meeting at the post office to get my passport renewed! They said it should arrive in the next two weeks or sooner! (Pray for sooner)

We need my passport so I can get started applying to my visa! I have to go to the Embassy in San Francisco to have an interview. My work won't let me take off anymore time, so I am not sure how I am going to go about this!

Prayer Requests:
That my work would be understanding, and if they aren't I would be able to find a job that wants to hire me for a month and a half.
That my passport would come in one week instead of two
That my interview at the Embassy would go as planned and that they would push to get my visa expedited!

One thing I have learned from being a Christian is that whenever you try to do something good or right, or God forbid you try and do something for the Lord, the devil gets real angry.

Let's just say he is real angry with me.

In the last two days I have found out that

1. I need to renew my passport
2. Because I am over 18 I have to apply for a whole new passport, which of course takes time
(I don't have time)
3. I need to apply for my visa which takes 4-6 weeks
4.I have to have my visa before I buy my plane ticket
5. In order to apply for my visa I have to have my passport
6. The quickest way to get my visa is applying online, the only embassy's that have access to online applications are a $300 plane ticket away or a 15+ hour drive
7. Satan does not want me going to Norway

My solution?

Pray. Not only is this a test of my patience, (which is a lacking quality) it is a test of faith!

Everything is possible through HIM. He can move mountains! I need to pray more and worry less.

So if you find the time please please keep me in your prayers! It has been a hard weekend, trying to plan and figure out everything. But I can not tell the future so I have to leave a lot of it up to the big man upstairs!

Thank you so much for all of your love and support!

To my dearest friends and family,

For many of you, your children or you yourself are beginning to start life at a college campus. However, God has been leading me in a different direction that I am so excited to share with all of you! If you have not heard of YWAM, it stands for Youth with a Mission and is a global non-profit organization whose focus is reaching the unreached and sharing the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Two summers ago, I embarked on an adventure that would change my heart forever.  I took part in a short term mission’s trip to Kenya, Africa alongside eight other incredible people.  We went into the heart of Kenya to a little village called Kathyaka, which is about 4 hours outside of Nairobi. While we were there we fellowshipped with the church and also distributed 500 water filters to the surrounding villages.  Thinking about it now, it was the most rewarding and humbling experiences of my life.  It really taught me to be grateful for even the littlest of things.  When it was time to leave, I knew that I had to come back, maybe not to Kenya or not even to Africa, but I had to come back to missions.
I am so blessed and excited to announce that in September of 2013 I will be taking part in Ywam’s Discipleship Training School at their base in Grimerud, Norway.  This will be a six month school, three months will be a lecture phase and the other three will be an outreach phase.  They will have seasoned missionaries, national & international Ywam leaders, & people who have committed their lives to going deeper with God in prayer and worship.  They will invest in our lives and help us to grow and develop in our walk with God as he leads us through this missionary journey.  The DTS will help teach us how to live as a disciple of Christ, whatever our calling may be.
I would really love to have the support of my fellow friends and family, whether it be monetarily or through prayer.  Both are equally as important.  As far as funding goes, I need to raise around $6,500 between now and September. I am currently working full time in order to raise the majority of my funding however, any monetary donations would be GREATLY appreciated, every dollar helps! As important as it is to raise funds, prayer is overall the biggest support I need! Prayer for safety, God’s will through all of this, for the leaders and for the team, as well as prayer that God would provide the funding and that people’s hearts would be opened to a generous spirit.
Thank you so much for your love, prayer, and support! I could not achieve this without you! I am so exciting to share this journey with you from beginning to end through this blog! I may or may not have a phone when I am over seas so this could be my only way of communication! I hope to keep you update with all the things that God is doing in my life. He has already blessed me tremendously and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for the future and our DTS team!

Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father & of the Son & of the Holy Spirit & teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
